Born just after Kenya's independence - he went to Starehe Boys' Centre for all his education up to sixth form. Tertiary education in various areas has been undertaken. He is currently involved in Swimming Pool Construction. No formal training in this field was undertaken.
This one comes naturally! Many years ago in class one - the rest of the class thought that Kisio was a wonderful swimmer on their first day in the pool. He went on to swim for Kenya in the All Africa Games as well as in many smaller international events. Kisio was the first Kenyan to swim 100m Freestyle under 1 minute with a time of 0:5905 in 1985.
He taught swimming for 8 years becoming one of the best coaches in the country. Appointed as the National Coach for the Junior team to the 1991 Morocco Championships he went on to become the Nairobi Swimming Association Chairman in 1993 serving for close to 4 years and again in between 2003 & 2005.
He then went on to work with Davis & Shirtliff, of the 'NOBODY BUILDS A BETTER POOL' fame, for three years.
After helping set up their first Branch - The Pool Shop- and having always dreamt of being independent in earning and being rich - Kisio decided to go it alone. He thought that the only way to achieve his dream of making a great deal of money was by starting his own business ... that's how KSS was born. Kisio quit Davis & Shirtliff in May 1996 and has not looked back since then.
One may ask what contribution hh has made to the Pool business. Well - Kisio Swimming Pools has bulit more than 66 pools so far - with 3 in Arusha and 4 in Zanzibar Tanzania. We have built a pool in Lokichogio - 935 Km away from Nairobi - the furthest pool from Nairobi within Kenya.
Kisio is married to Asha Mohammed and they have been blessed with a set of twins - Mbatha & Kisio (Daughter & Son). Born in June 2004 and Lele (Son) born in July 2007.
